I selected this Camp site because, its web site made it sound ideal for our needs. On the banks of a lake, with lots of walks from the site though ancient woodlands. The reality was slightly different. Don’t get me wrong, this is not a bad site, just not what we expected.
The site is in the middle of nowhere, which suited us, but the banks of the lake are out of a side gate down a steep path and across a car park! And we could only find one path through the woods, up the side of a steep hill. On arrival there was no one in the reception, but a sign said to go to the bar to book in. The site seemed to be in two parts, a wooded section where Tents were pitched between the trees and a slightly more formal area for caravans. A lot of which seemed to be seasonal. The Bar/Restaurant looked nice and was refreshingly cool, the manager spoke some English. We were told to park any where and enjoy our stay.
Whilst we were on this site we had a visiter
The lake was refreshing to swim in. Even though this is northern Spain the temperature was up to 35o.
There is some lovely scenery around this area and many small villages. We came across the Church of ST Martin, but it was closed for renovations.
