THE collapse of the pound has sparked a boom in caravanning. Advanced bookings to the UK's 3,000 caravan and camping sites is up 40 per cent on the same time last year and membership of the Caravan Club has soared by 55,000. At least 50,000 bookings for caravan sites were made during the last week of December alone.
The figures look good, but bad news for us as sites will have to be booked well in advanced. This still does not make sense with Caravan companies going into administration
