Having seen a number of ex Council Library vans being sold for low prices in auction, I have often thought that they could make a nice motorhome, especially the smaller ones. Inboard heaters, lighting, some with generators, good insulation and wooden panelling, plus electric points. Possibly all the basics to make a nice vehicle with beds, seats and a kitchen, plus fairly low mileages and good maintenance in Council workshops. Just wish I was good at D.I.Y.

Look at motorhome self build on google there are hundreds of people who do build their own it seems the main problems are getting the vehicle classified as a motorhome via the DVLA and then the insurance as it becomes modified ? and that seems to confuse the bejesus of of them
