We spent the Bank Holiday weekend at Little Blencowe Farm CL.
The weekend got off to a bad start because the roof-light blew off on the way there (no I didn't leave it open, one of the handles was broken). Anyway first night was spent with temporary repairs, see below.
The site is just off junction 40 of the M6 and is easy to get to. Site access is good too.
It is in a small village with just the one pub. However it serves excellent food, has friendly staff and is only about 200 yards from the site.
There are no shops in the village, so it would be advisable to stock up beforehand. The nearest shop we found was at a petrol filling station three or four miles away. This also has a cash machine, but was out of money when we went.
The site itself has plenty of room for five vans, so it doesn't feel crowded and is surrounded by fields with sheep and horses grazing. There are also three vans permanently sited in a separate area. It is slightly sloping, but wasn't a problem for us.
The site has a toilet and shower across the road at the farmhouse, this is also where the water tap and waste water disposal is situated. The toilet/shower facilities are quite basic but usable if you are not fussy.
