After coming back from our last holiday in the Caravan, I noticed that the plastic outer part of the caravan window (front middle one) has parted company from the inner section of the window.
Now I need to repair this as we are going away at the end of July and i'm not able to afford to buy a new or even second hand window at the moment.
There is a crack in the window, but when the Caravan was serviced last year the chap who did it said it won't cause a problem. I think the weather has caused the bonding of the two sections to fail, hence why they have parted company.
Will a strong type of double sided bonded tape do the trick or will sealing with a clear mastic do as a short term measure?
Has anyone had the same problem or had to repair the same type of fault in the past.
I'll try and post some pictures of the fault as soon as possible, to help, incase my description sounds unclear.
I am going to check if my Insurance covers such failings as well, just in case.
Fingers crossed for you Keith, it's not a problem I have heard of before
Forgetting to add the photo's didn't help much with the description.
I keep meaning to take them, but as soon as I get home from work, i'm greeted with "Daddy can we do this" & "Daddy can we do that" etc, so I end up playing and turning into a kid myself and switching off from everything else.
I'm not complaining, as it's the highlight of my day, getting home from work. ;D
