A new industry-backed show has been announced for the autumn 2011 to compete with the International Caravan and Motorhome show. The NCC Motorhome and Caravan Show is being run in late October by a new subsidiary of the National Caravan Council. The cost of the new venture is being underwritten by Bailey, Coachman, Elddis, Lunar, Swift and Trigano group. As well as the major manufacturers, The Caravan Club and The Camping and Caravanning Club are backing the new show.
Personally, London is a bit too far to go....I'll stick with Birmingham!
But I can see how it could be a success....
Bit worried about it (also) being in October - a week or so after the NEC show....are there enough customers to go round? Will most people still go to Birmingham and not see the point of going to the London one?
I went to a boat show in London a couple of years ago - I think it might have been in a place called The XL or summat - but I may be wrong about that....
Anyway - the problem was the time it took to get there.....takes quite a while to get to London even by train from Alnmouth, but then you have to get on other trains/underground etc to get to the exhibition centre. I just couldn't have done it all in a day - luckily, I stayed at my mate's in Sydenham on the night ;D
