I have looked all through the Volvo website but can find no indication of the Towbar nose weight.
Does anyone have one, if so what is the noseweight for the Towbar, or can anyone tell me where to find it. I have spoken to a salesman (allegedly) from one of the Vovlo garages near me and I might as well have spoken to Peppa Pig.
I have today received a product recall for my V70 (on a 10 plate). An electrical short circuit within a connector could result in the "Airbag System Service Required" meesage appearing in the Drivers Information Module (DIM) and the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) lamp would light up. If this occurs, the diver's airbag would not deploy as intended, should it be required. I aim to get it booked in asap.
I don't think it matters what car you get there is always a chance of something going wrong. I had a new 340 it was one of the last ones they made, after 6 weeks it just stopped in the middle of the road. We had it taken the the garage and it took them 3 days to find the fault. It turned out to be the wire in the HT lead was broken and as they said it might never have broken down but we obviously got it in the wrong position and it seperated. The mechanic said he had never known that happen in 15 years.
We went back to the Volvo garage today the boss was very impressed with everything she saw. So it looks almost certain that we will be getting one. We now have to sort out a day for a test drive, they said that we will be given the car for about 2 hrs to go where we like. The only trouble was he said we have got to take it back after that, shame.
I have had two Volvo's - my mother has two and my father has had many. I changed due to fuel consumption and a company vehicle. My last Volvo S60 T5 was fantastic, really regret getting rid, except for the 25mpg! 320Bhp measured at the wheels though
Olympus 546 (2010) towed with 2007 VW Touran 2.0 (140) DSG Sport (Just!).
Our last Volvo was quite a few years ago, it was the 340. It was picked because of the safety aspect, as I had just written off a very old 240. The only reason it was written off was the age of it, in actual fact I got £100 more than I was offered on part exchange 3 days earlier.
