Is the Camp site busy? I've been reading reports, elsewhere, that the French Camp sites are not as busy as usual, this is being blamed on the poor weather they have had over there.
Well, apparently the weather gets better from here on in!!! - We have had SOOO much rain - We genuinely have a small stream running through our awning at the moment! This site is very busy, pitches are not being vacant for more than a few hours at a time and I have not yet seen one single empty pitch!
I have a question for somebody in the know regarding gas... I have run out of gas, my fault for not bringing enough. I normally use BP Lite bottles (The lightweight plastic type), these use a push fit adapter from a standard Butane high pressure hose. My question is.. Does anybody know if the butane connector will fit french butane bottles or do I have to now switch to CampinGaz? It looks rather expensive, so I would rather not.. I had heard somewhere that the french use a reverse thread? - Not sure... I can rent a gas BBQ fairly cheaply from the site owners, this has a standard french Butane bottle, this would be ideal for the van

BP lite use a 27mm clip on adaptors. Some French gas bottles use the same size, Le Cube is one, but it's worth asking at the local supermarche. Some other bands use a 20mm clip on and you may be able to get a bottle & adaptor from a Supermarche Petrol station. As you say Camping Gaz is expensive and you would still need an adaptor.
