Evening All, does anyone know of any clubs for Widows / widowers? Went to Brighton in February on me own, it was OK, but did miss company. All of the clubs I've looked into for singles seem to be nothing more than for people who don't want to be single any more. Look forward to reading the replies of you wonderful knowledgeable people Bundy
Senator 6 Wyoming, Jeep Grand Kareeoke, Full Wine Cellar, but still keepin' it country.
Hi Al. I just googled 'Caravanning for singles' and loads came up that were for widowers, widows and lone parents. I don't have any experience of these as I wasn't a caravanner when my first husband died but perhaps you should spend a while exploring the results of a 'google'? Sorry I can't come up with anything more concrete. In the short term, you could actually just explore the idea of going on meets with folk you know, who would make you more than welcome and enjoy your company tooboot. You could try googling Summer Meet and see what that brought up although that didn't bring anything stunning up when I just tried it, disappointingly? You never know but you might meet old friends and new and have a great time? Maybe some others on here will have more concrete experience of events / groups?
Hi I have only just joined this forum, but have already posted details of the Phoenix Camping club, which is a National club for single, widowed or divorced people who live and camp alone, please take a look, or at our web site www.thephonexcamping club, if you have any further questions please do send me a message.
The Phoenix Camping club now has a new web site, that not only gives information on who we are and what we do, but also a contact form to get in touch with us. If you are single and live and camp alone we would love to have you join us. We camp all over the UK, our meets are put on by our members and we make sure that no one is left out of any activities or outings arranged on site. Please do take a look at our web site www.thephoenixcampingclub.co.uk for more information and contact details.
I have just sent off my form to Phoenix camping club, as I without Maureen to go caravanning with I thought it would be a good was to meet people that are going away as a single camper. I know what you mean about missing company, I went to Kessingland CCC site last September, and memories of Maureen flooded back as we had been to this site 3 times in the past. Hopefully if you join we may bump into each other.
