Just looked at my difference between 2011 and 2012. Ok, didn't get quite so many nights in, and didn't go abroad, for reasons most of you know. The big difference being kitted myself out with solar panel and invertor, done some rallying, and the average price per night went from £20.87 down to £8.88. Makes ya think don't it.

Hi Mike Better late than never.... first two nights of the year.... Wirral Country Park CC at £16.20/ night with 130 miles towed. All the pitches with views were full by the time we got there just after noon on the first day of the season so presumably those in the know turn up early and the wardens let them in anyway? But hey; it was a busy weekend for us with no chance to sit around on site anyway. Nearly had to pay for an extra night again to get a late departure but common sense reigned eventually so we didn't have to get get our caravan off site before we went to ring the bells at Liverpool Cathedral. I can't see why late departures are such a big deal. By the time we did leave, less than half the hardstandings had outfits on them anyway. (The grass pitches were not in use). MrsM
