This was our forth visit to this site and again we enjoyed our stay here.
The first thing to say is there are No Toilets or Showers on this site.
Take care when entering the site the gate is a little narrow, but is not really a problem.
The site is in 3 areas, the ex quarry area, to the right of the Reception lodge, which has a fishing lake. This area also has the Motorhome service point, next to the water/waste and CDP
Going straight on to the left of the reception lodge brings you to he part of the site we stayed on. There about 3 short roads that are use as Hard Standings and a grass section with views over the fields.
If you carry on through this section you come to the last area, which has the kids park in it
This is a bit of a mixed section with grass and Hard Standings. There is also a roadway that can be used for large RVs. Some of the pitches in this area overlook the quarry area.
The site has 2 Dog Walks and a Foot path leads away from the site, you can easily walk to Haughmond Abbey. Attingham Park is a short drive away, with it's extensive deer park.
Thanks for a great view, Mike. We used to stay on this site regularly because we do several cycle events from Upton Magna each year Recently however we have stayed on the CL at Haughmond Abbey which is spacious and much quieter for anti social whatsits like Mothy and me. One point worth mentioning re Attingham Park is that if you cycle there and are not National Trust Members, then you still get in free as if you were members.
Has the pub in Upton Magna reopened, did you notice??? It was being refurbed last time we were down there.
