I put this in my site review but thought that I would add it here too
........"One final note for those of you that have Alko Trailer Control (ATC) - On the journey down I was traveling along Barcleona's equivalent of the M25 when I overtook 2 lorries at just over 60mph. As I passed the 2nd lorry the caravan started getting a little bit wiggly so I took my feet of all the pedals and the wiggling stopped. I accelerated again to pass another lorry that was just in front of me and the wiggling came back. As I was just about to pull in front of the lorry, the ATC decided enough was enough and applied the brakes on the van. This was hard enough to yank the car back but the van immediately stopped wiggling and normal service was resumed. I wasn't unduly worried about the van when it was wiggling but the ATC obviously sensed something that I didn't so decided to take control. What a great piece of kit and it can easily be retro-fitted to any old van."

I am glad to say I have never had the ATC cut in on my Vans. While in France the caravan started swaying a bit and the car started to judder, it turned out to be the ABS cutting in. Otherwise non problems with the ATC or the car.
