I've not been on here for ages due to work and changes in my personal life. Really glad to be back on here reading all this interesting material. Hopefully this will be the year that I get my first caravan. Lord knows my family and I cannot wait to start touring. I toured many many times with grandparents up until the age of 15 and absolutely loved it. Maybe it's those times that I am trying to recapture?
During my time away I have moved home, bought a new car and most importantly, my wife and I are expecting our second next week!!!!
I have bought a BMW 325i auto estate. Hopefully it will be good for towing? I'm currently navigating my way through internet towbar fitment services as we speak. Did not realise the hassle of owning an auto! Apparently it's better to retrofit oil coolers/radiator?
Really enjoying the caravan channel too. The repair pieces are particularly enjoyable, especially as my first caravan will be a little bit cheaper than most hence my DIY interest of the channel.
As I write this my mind is racing with excitement of where to go when we get our tourer. I would love to visit Cornwall, Ullapool , Ouistreham or even.the Italian lakes. My wife and I are not fazed by the prosoect of touring with a 9 year do and a little baby but maybe pointers from anyone with similar experiences would love to throw a couple of tips my way?
