Hi Anyone with a late Swift Group caravan fitted with D Mack tyres beware. On my 2013 Challenger I have discovered today a large piece of tread separated from the tyre carcass. Thought this was a thing of the past. If you have these tyres a close careful check would be advised
It's a good thing you checked your tyres, you would have expected them to be in good shape after a year? It really highlights to all caravan and motorhome users to check your tyres on a regular basis. The consequences of a blow out on the road do not bear thinking about
I've only seen this on HGV tyres where the valcanisation process has not been hot enough, or the tyre has overheated. I hope you are going to pursue this with Swift as this is a major safety issue.
