Hello fellow forum users! I have recently entered the world of caravanning with an old but solid sterling panache esprit, the problem is I know very little about the van and have absolutely no paperwork so kind of winging it at the mo! Do any of you forum users have any advice or even better still user manuals etc that I could get a copy of? I would be very much grateful! Also is there somewhere I can pick up spares for this van? I'd love to pick up a window for the back as ours is cracked and has been repaired (it is water tight) but a bit untidy looking! Any help would be great! Ta Andy ( the summer is on it's way :-) )
I am not sure its a Sterling unless its a much newer model? My first new caravan was an Esprit Flare made by CI. It was the same size as the Panache but a different layout. Ours was a 1989 model. Depending on year the weight (from memory) was 750kgs unladen and 950kgs laden although they were notorious for leaving the factory overweight and the maximum was later upgraded to 1050kgs.
Hi all sorry I've been away hence the delayed replies! I think the van is a 1991 I've checked a few sites and they have it listed as a sterling panache however it may well be a Ci I've managed to get everything working on the van so now I'm almost ready to hit the highway! One last job to do! It has a cracked rear window (double glazed Perspex) which the previous owner has taped up I've had a quote of £280 for a replacement and I think I'll get one at the end of the summer however I'd like to better repair the one I've got just now and would appreciate any advice on fully removing the window to allow me to glue it etc! Many thanks for previous replies. Can't wait to get out and use my new toy!
