Thinking of removing the carpets near the door and kitchen area of our van and replacing it with vinyl / cushion flooring has any one tried it if so how did it work out was it easier to keep clean? As we spend most of our time on grass at country fairs or steam rally's and are forever picking dried grass out of the carpets Yours Scout (Brian)

Can't really help you Scout, our last Caravan (Bailey Senator, Louisiana) had Removable Carpets with Vinyl underneath. If we were anywhere sandy or muddy we would take up the lounge and kitchen carpets leaving just the bedroom one. The Vinyl is a lot easier to Brush/Wipe clean. Our present MotorHome had only a Vinyl flooring when we got it and I have since fitted a Carpet as it is a lot warmer on the feet.
Anyone else any comments on this ?

You may find there is already vinyl under the carpet. Have a look under the seats as caravan carpet rarely goes all the way to the edge.
