Hi all well I have done it at last, I have exchanged my canvas tent for a tin one, We have just aquired a old (1993) elddis caravan and am finding the whole experience a bit of as mine field. My lastest quest is trying to sort out breakdown cover for the caravan while its being towed eg if a wheel bearing goes or something that prevents the van being towed. What cover and service providers use. Thanks for your patience with us newbies

Hi Davey have you tried the RAC they do a cover that covers both car and van I have a mobility car which is covered by The RAC and pay a small extra charge to cover the van when being towed Yours Scout

Green Flag are the Caravan Club's recovery organisation and their prices for the service are very reasonable compared to RAC and AA. It is unlikely that the Club would use Green Flag if the feedback was poor. You do not have to be a member of the Caravan Club to join Green Flag. I am not with Green Flag so cannot comment on their service but I have had good reports.
Dickers.

:DI have been with Green Flag for years and have found them to be excellent. I have towed all over Europe with my van new and old and have had a few breakdowns and they have always been great. I would recommend them both on price and performance.
