Our train is on Wednesday 1st. It looks like it is getting back to normal what ever that is. Hopefully. The boss has get to be back for Saturday as it is our Grandaughters first Birthday. If it comes to the worst I will have to drop her off at an airport so she can fly home, and I will have to suffer by myself and stay longer. ? Les

I'm using Eurotunnels Free WiFi to write this. No problems getting to the terminal this evening, we did see 4 immigrants crossing the Motorway central reservation with a mattress, looked to be heading to the Eurotunnel terminal. We have never seen the Terminal so empty, but this is the latest we have ever crossed back. Having said that there was a long Que for the Pet Passport office, which we have never had before.

According to the various 'Twitter Feeds' I follow............ Today (30/06) Calais is closed and it looks like Dunkirk will be closed soon. Euro-tunnel says it's OK at the moment from France.

Update Calais still closed, Dunkirk open but very busy (Delays), Eurotunnel now suspended due to fire on tracks in France caused by demonstrators.
I hope Les (Carpet) got back OK.

Yesterday we went to see how bad the queues were for the Tunnel, somehow we ended up in the queue for cite Europe and were stuck for 2 hours. One of the reasons was someone had a bit of road rage and knocked someone down with his car breaking his leg. When we eventually got out we tried to get back onto the A16 heading towards Boulonge ( not sure of the spelling) the slip road was closed we tried 3 more heading to Calais all the same. We ended up going into Calais and along the seafront through Sangattedown to Wimille. This morning we left the Campsite at 6.00am today got to the tunnel at 6.20 straight onto the train and away for 6.57. The only security check we had was a check the gas was turned off, we saw plenty of Gendarme but they were only interested in posing for the cameras. At this side we got off the train and straight out onto the M20 without any checks at all. The M20 was closed due to operation stack and we had to go via the A20 to Maidstone and then back onto the M20. The. It was of to the Dartford Tunnel where the Police had a rolling road block because of an incident. It took 4 hours to get to there followed by a further 3 hours to get the rest of the way home. Apart from that we had a brilliant holiday. We have booked the same site for next year, and even booked our Spanish site for January.
