Hi all We last used our mains adaptor kit at a site in Cornwall 2-3 years ago and what a time saver it was. unfortunatly we have not been able to use it since then, but we can this year so i have got it out of bag only to discover that although i thought i had fully drained the hose and float assembly it has water in the hose, not a great deal but if the water has been in there all that time is it safe to clean and use again and if so what should i use to clean it out. Or do i bin it!!!!!!!!

Hi Artfish,
Only bin things as a last resort!
Give it a good flush through from the tap and have a smell and a taste of the water coming from the hose. If in doubt, fill it with a solution of Milton, or similar, then flush through again for a few minutes until the taste of the Milton has gone. It should be OK after that. It might be an idea to soak the ball valve unit in a solution of Milton if it has not been used for a while.
Dickers.
