Children's holidays father wins

The father who took his children out of school in term time has won his case in the high court.

This could have a lot of parents taking their children out during the school term. It was suggested that the government are looking at changing the wording.

At last common sense has prevailed, I do not agree that kids should be taken out of class regularly but once a year I see as not a problem, this guy proved the daughter was regular in attendence, the problem is other parents may just take the kids out as and when they want, the law definately needs amending.

My daughter took all 3 or her kids out when she spent 3 weeks in Australia, the school asked her to get the kids to look into the culture of the Australian's during their visit and then gave the rest of the class a presentation when they returned, they enjoyed it that much a few years later they emigrated in 2008 and now have residency.
