Castle CampingThe 5 Hard Standing are quite level but only large enough for a Caravan or Motorhome. On some of the Hard Standings the grass inbetween pitches slopes quite a bit. I would sugest if you want to use an awning it would be better to use the grass field, some of which is flat. There are 2 Fresh Water Taps, one is OK for Motorhome filling, there is also a Drive Over Drain for Motorhome Greywater. There is also a CDP (Chemical Disposal Point) and a Greywater Disposal Point for Caravan and Tenters. The Ablutions Block is the best we have ever seen on a Camp site. The views from the Camp Site are stunning. The Camp Site does seem to be a 'Work in Progress'. The family that run the site were very welcoming and friendly and are happy to offer advice on things to see and do as well as directions on how to get there. The road next to the Camp site is quite busy, which does lead to some Road Noise (which is why we moved from Pitch 1 to Pitch 3). Mow Cop Castle is about a 20 minute (Uphill) walk from the site and offers fantastic 360 o views. The other place we visited was 'Biddulph Grange Gardens' a National Trust Property. That looks like a very nice site. We will keep this one on mind when we go to Stoke.
