Hello Mike, my worse year yet, a big fat 0 for me. What with Swift having to rebuild Moggie the motorhome properly and all the lockdowns well what can I say. Moggie is on SORN at the moment, the last trip out was to get her MOT'd. Let's hope next year will come forth with some sort of normal life.

Well Moggie the Motorhome is back at home now, I got her back last week. All looks good. I have a habitation service booked for this Thursday so it will be a bit of a QC check as well. It's been quite a journey, 11 months ago she failed a hab check on extreme damp, Swift didn't contest the issues, went back to the factory beginning of March, then COVID meant a 3 month lockdown. Swift finally got her into their workshop start of July, then Swift closed down in August for their annual holidays.
So I am keen to see if she gets a clean bill of health on Thursday.

Update on Moggie the Motorhome, she Has been with Swift since 14th March awaiting repairs/rebuild. An e-mail yesterday from Swift's customer services have stated that the Swift factory will be closed down for at least 5 weeks from the Friday 27th. So I'm looking at June for her return, if I'm lucky. However I won't be going anywhere given the current situation. So once Moggie is back I will being doing two things;
1. put her on SORN until all restrictions are lifted. 2. up plate her from 3,500kgs to the plated weight at 3,820kgs. Hence reduced VED payment.
Stay safe all,
Alan and (Maureen)

I spoke to the repair coordinator on Monday, but I can't get them to shift on the date. They also accepted that there may be further damage. I have also decided that they can collect and deliver to the supplier of the Motorhome which will save me time and money.

Update on the damp issues, I had to take Moggie the Motorhome back to the supplying dealer for an inspection, Swift have accepted the warranty. I've had a letter from Swift saying that they need to have the vehicle back at their factory for reworking on all the warranty issues. Brownie points to Swift for being quick in the reply and acceptance of the issue. However, I will need to call Swift on Monday as the date they have given me is for 9th March 2020, and a potential collection date of the 20th April. I am concerned that any delay of this time will result in further damp damage.

We always preferred the CL/CS sites because of price against club sites. However, Phoenix Camping Club members prefer to use club sites, so if I want to meet up with other members then I am restricted.

Moggie the Motorhome had it's 2nd habitation service a couple of weeks ago, and I have damp issues with readings between 25 - 44. The roof has failed with large blisters on the "Hump", this also means that the ceiling has bubbled, some of the trim has blown. Moggie is 2 years old, I have started a warranty claim with Swift and so far they responded very quickly to my email. It's been back to the supplying dealer whom have carried out both a damp test and photographed the issues. They even said they hadn't seen a roof go like that. I have tried to post photos but the file is classed as too big. I will keep you informed on the warranty, at the moment I'm waiting on the dealer to get their backsides in gear and start the process.
