We have visited this site a couple of times, and have already planned another couple of weekends. We chose it mainly for weekends, only an hour away from home.
It's a lovely site, and despite being quite large, it's very quiet. The toilet block is large, and clean. There is a kids play area, and a dog walk, there is also a large field for ball games etc. The site is kept well. there are hardstanding and grass pitches (all well sized). Some are separated by hedges. I would avoid being at the "ladies" side of the toilet block, there is a large tree which houses lots of nesting crows, so can be quite noisy in a morning, not good if you like a lay in! (Wonder how we found that out! lol)
The chip van that calls round is fab, and the wardens on site are very friendly. The entrance and exit have key operated barriers. The entrance to the site is shared with a stud farm, so dogs can't be walked down there, however it's lovely to see to the foals. There is a Toby Carvery just over the roundabout from the site (probably a ten minute stroll) although it can get busy on a weekend. Monks Cross shopping centre and the park and ride are about a five minute drive away. The designer outlet on the A64 is about 15 mins away too. We haven't actually been into York yet, as we have been on chill out weekends, not really doing a lot, but hope to visit there next time!
Sorry for the lack of photos, forgot the camera both times! doh!
