Well better start this section off with a big thank you to the forum admin for giving us a section of our own! I only asked to see if people were interested and here we are our own section. I am Julz and I have a Dandy Destiny which I use as often as I can. Who are you and what have you got Julz

Hi Julz As I said on your first posting I have owned 3 Rapido folding caravans But they are not produced any longer The overall thought behind them was fantastic ,easy to store .very easy to tow as they were only 450 kg total weight Once you had put then up a few times it took about 10 mins to have it up and ready to go The only draw back was the frame is made from aluminium and it was always dripping wet with condensation ,more so in the autumn when it is colder They were designed by a Frenchman for the french climate, IE hot and dry, then they are perfect the other drawback now is that they are all in need of new suspension units and they are unavailable ,so you have to be inventive I have had a very hard look at most of the new folders that are available but I can't say that I am taken with any of them I think I will stick with my weekender VW camper van
T4 VW Transporter 2.5 TDI Slightly heavily modified to 155 BHP and whole load of fun
VW because I am worth it !!
Ready for the Stage 3 remap with a hybrid turbo
Pushing 200 BHP
Hi from Norfolk, Just watched the Caravan Channel on TV, so i thought i would give the forums a look to see if trailer tents and folding campers have a section....yes they do so i will be reading and hopfully writting. Regards Fred owner of a Conway Excel ;D
Welcome to the forum, it will be great for those who love their trailer tents to have someone write about their own experiences.
We had a nimrod trailer tent some years ago that I bought off a chap who need a quick loan. But alas it went the way of most trailer tents and made a superb trailer. We love Norfolk and tend to spend any free long weekends there when we can.
We have been watching the Caravan Channel for a while but only found the forum today. I must admit finding a section for folding campers was a smashing surprise.
We are in Essex and own a Dandy Designer (which I love to bits) and at weekends we try to be away more than we are at home. In fact the only reason we are at home this weekend is our car died (and none too quietly) last week and we are waiting for the next one to come along. This will be our first winter as Dandy owners and we will be using it as often as possible right through the year.
