My wife and I looked into the idea of getting a folding camper a couple of years ago. The high cost put us off, you can get a new small caravan for only a couple of hundred pounds more. A caravan would have far more comfort and be usable all year round. I took my wife to see some used ones at Horsham, they looked quite tatty, even ones only a year or two old. I'm afraid they are not for me, but I would not ridicule anyone who has one. They are however quite a clever concept.

I cant see why use couldn't use a folding camper all year, you would have to use the heater a bit more, but Caravan people sit in their Awnings at winter time. (says he who wont even use the Caravan in the Winter )
Some one we know bought a Folding Camper from Camperlands in Manchester, I couldn't believe the price but you do get all the equipment.
we brought our conway camper in oct last year, we went for the 6 birth with wash room and loo [ hate the late night treck to the toilet block ] we have an extending family range from 11 to 4* ish lol . we needed somthing that could be used most of the year round and also accomodate our family when needed ,But mostly for my husband me and our twins for weekends and school holidays. A few years ago we had a caravan that we kept on the drive , sadly when we were away we were broken into , so my husband wanted somthing that we could keep out of site . our camper can be stored in the garage and the size when opened means that the diner can be used without folding down for a bed . but also when we all go, with the awning and use of inner tents we could sleep 8 comfortably. we would need a large caravan to give us this amount of room . we set out for our first trip easter [ we have been setting it up and down inthe garden and it is very easy, putting up the main section so you are under cover takes about 10 mins ] so camp sites here we come !
