I Used my motorhome for first time (1994 swift royale 610 lux on a talbot express) and we had great fun. The only problem is the only 12 volt power I seem to have is water pump and lights. The TV, digibox cooker sparker etc have all stopped and have worked perfectly before.
I have been through my swift motorhomes manual and it talks of a KT12SM transformer/charger and to quote from the manual (is fitted in a convenient position) however after a 2 hour search I have come up with the solution that the convenient position is not convenient enough. I can't ask the guy I bought the van off as he has emigrated. The only unit I can find is something called a Zig which is down near the leisure batteries, underneath the floor of the wardrobe and has an on/off switch. The off position switches lights off as well.
Not knowing anything about the technical side of things, does anyone have an idea where to look or is this Zig a replacement or an idea what my problem is. There is a bank of 15 amp fuses near the batter9ies but these all seem to look okay.
I was hoping to spend Christmas Day out in the van but this now looks scuppered unless any of you helpful souls in cyberspace can come up with a solution
According to another forum posting the KT12SM was prone to problems. The ZIG charger will almost certainly be a replacement. I would re-check all the 15a fuses you talk about using a continuity meter, I've had it before that they look OK but 1 has blown.
