Maureen was supposed to come yesterday but her blood count low, so she had to have a blood transfusion. Rang this morning, but they said she has to have an x-ray this afternoon and providing they can control the vomiting she may be home tomorrow.
Otherwise Maureen is doing well with the crutches, and they have indicated that they will do her right hip in 3 months time, but I pointed out as it is not painful at the moment she should ask them to do it in September after our holiday.

Fingers crossed. I assume she has done her stair test? I am sure she will feel a lot better once she is home.
Glad she is home, this is where the real progress happens. I found the best aid to recovery was getting out for walks every day albeit they were quite short at first. The body soon tells you if you over do it.
I have just completed a questionnaire that hip hoppers are asked to do a year after the operation ( I also did one a few months after the op) Have to say I was able to respond in a positive way to the majority of the questions.
Maureen has seen the Specialist this morning, and after the X-ray all is looking excellent. He had her standing on her right leg then on her left leg (the hip replacement one) no problems.
She can start reducing the reliance on crutches over the coming month. The best news is that we can start using the van again, so we will be off at the weekend, not sure where we are heading, but Suffolk / Norfolk is looking good.
Maureen has to go back for another X-ray and visit in July.
