I have had to push back the date of the Castleton booking. 'Mikey' our Lurcher has been having nighttime 'Water Works' problems, probably a bladder infection according to the Vet. On Wednesday morning the Vet pronounced him fit and well. Unfortunately he proved the Vet wrong (twice) last night. so he is going to go back to the Vet again today. Just hope it's nothing serious.

Hi , we were there last Easter for the week , lovely site , great for walks and cycling , and the villages , visit the fudge making shop , lovely ,little tip though , at the site , we were sited on the left after the barriers and pitched where the main road was behind us and and people tend to just put their foot down as they come round the bend , a touch noisy so head into the site , the rest of the site is backing onto fields . Great site though , I'd stay again .

Thanks for that Craig.
I have 'Amended' the booking for 2 weeks time. Fingers crossed that 'Mikey' is sorted by then or we will have to cancel.

Well 'Mikeys' third lot of Antibiotics seem to have worked (he said touching wood). He has lasted nearly a week now without any accidents, so we are all set for the off tomorrow. Hope the Snow has gone, from the roads anyway.

I echo Craig's comments re the road, we pitched on the same side where he mentioned, we were also disturbed by late revellers walking past shouting as they walked passed in the early hours of the morning. But we had little choice of pitches when we arrived so we had to lump it. As already stated the works and pubs are good. Hope you enjoy your stay Paul

Thanks Les, the weather was cold but dry not a bad weekend. I can understand the comments about road noise, it's quite a busy little main road. Trooper
