That's interesting Mike. I wonder if it will ever become law or whether it will become law but never enacted by the Police like so many other laws? I did wonder if the tinted windows comments was aimed at blacked out glass rather than the normal tint/privacy glass?

I agree with the phone part ( even though mine comes through our sat nav hands free automatic answer ) and agree with the parking restictions but Don't see how tinted windows cause accidents , obviously your not allowed windscreens done anyway , ours came with the rear 5 windows tinted as standard as do many cars these days , so what happens when France enforce this , that'll be lots off people getting pulled ! And we're going back there soon . . . And counting down the days to !

I don't know any more than the article says, but apparently in France at the moment only the Window screen has to be clear whereas in Britain the front side windows need to be clear as well. Like Craig I have the TomTom set for Hands Free Auto Answer, but being a 'Billy no mates' no one ever rings me anyway. Trooper

Front side windows can be tinted but the % that your allowed its not worth it cos you can barely tell that they are tinted !
