on my service I was told I had a damp spot of 25 caused by the awning rail I had him re do the rail , my question is will that spot dry out or not there is no smell of damp when you visit the van

on my service I was told I had a damp spot of 25 caused by the awning rail I had him re do the rail , my question is will that spot dry out or not there is no smell of damp when you visit the van Hi sad to hear you have damp at least it has been caught early, at 25% from my experience it should be OK and dry out if it was the awning rail, if you can see a "blueing" of the panel you should keep an eye on it, measure it to ensure it has been stopped by the reseal. If you have no signs of internal staining then as said should be OK I would get it checked again in 2-3 months to see if it has dried naturally.

I would agree with Sorento08, provided it was the Awning Rail that was leaking it should dry out OK. I once resealed an Awning Rail convinced that was the cause of the leak but the damp continued to get worse, so I resealed the 'Roof Light' and the leak stopped and dried out, so a retest in a couple of months is advised.
