Has anyone managed o get away yet? We are hoping to go on Friday to Pentewan Sands Cornwall. Keeping our fingers crossed that the Leicester lockdown doesn't come down to us as we are not that far away from there.

Hi Les, I was going to Suffolk for a few days this week. Unfortunately, we are inside the barbed wire around Leicester during the lockdown. When I cancelled, the site owner was not a happy bunny as she has had "a very bad year". We have another outing booked in August. The lifting of the Leicester lockdown is not looking good at the moment. Hope that it doesn't mean our August outing has to be cancelled too. Roy....(Dickers)

Looking at the latest news it is not looking good for Leicester at the moment. My daughters partner was saying a workmate went into M&S in Rugby and saw someone who lives in the lockdown part of Leicester. She told them to go home, they said we live here now. She told them that her parents who live in the same road told her the couple still lived there. She the. Told them that if they didn’t leave they would inform the police, surprise surprise they left. Some people just don’t care but they are generally the first to complain.

Bad luck Roy. We still think it's a bit early to go anywhere, probably being a bit over cautious. I are going to re-Tax the Bus on 1 August and have a few day trips out in it.

We are due to go away last week in August then into September. Been watching the R rate locally, which is good so far. being one who has been "asked" to stay at home, was thinking we might go to our local CL in Staffordshire (about 15 miles away) and use gloves etc but like Mike bit cautious, we wont make our minds up until my consultant has called me with my blood results on Thursday and when my meds are delivered after (finger crossed) One good thing come out of this is MOT for both our cars have been extended to 18th January 2021....
Must say wife and I are ready...
Stay safe everyone..

Must say wife and I are ready... Stay safe everyone.. Everyone should stay at home from 27th July for 4 nights, the wife called the CL close by (Woodmill Farm CC CL) and booked the 4 nights this afternoon, so it will RAIN Interesting while on the phone, the owners went through the revised requirements (Covid 19) where we can and can not go on the farm, plus how they want us to use the fresh water tap and Elsan point, the information we were given was basic stuff for us, as I have to be careful anyway (and do take hygiene seriously), but still good that this CL owner is taking this seriously so as to give campers some re-assurance, so long as everyone does their bit. Stay safe when we all start to get back to some sort of "normality". Paul
