I plan to use the MH service points on arrival and before leaving a site. But I suppose its the long in the tooth caravanner in me, but I still will carry on using the Aquaroll and Wastemaster once pitched up. What do others do, is this normal or am I just odd?

When we changed to a motorhome I was determined not to use the aquaroll and wastemaster but as we went on we felt that it was sensible to carry on with them particularly the Aquaroll. It does depend on how long you stay on site. The tanks should last for 2/3 days depending on whether you shower in the van. You can travel with the fresh water tank full but you do have to be mindful of your payload. A lot of motorhomes only allow about 10 litres of water within the included payload. I think after a few trips you will be able to see clearly what suits your style of touring so perhaps don't through them out yet!!!

As David says it depends on how long you are staying on site. We get 3 days to a full tank of fresh water, if we are staying longer it's no great hardship to go to the MSP and fill and empty, just leave a sign or Chair and table on your pitch. Having said that, we do have 2x 5 metre waste water hoses, so if we are on a Fully serviced Pitch we can take advantage of it. We do leave home with a full tank of fresh water and the system primed, but we have a 755Kg payload allowance.

Hi Al,
Glad to see that you are using Moggie.
Reference using the aquaroll etc., if you go out for the day, would it make sense to call at the MH service point on the way back? Dump and fill up, job done. But I'm not a MH-er so I may be talking tripe which is not unusual. If you don't go out for the day then it's back to the drawing board.

Roy............(Dickers) Hi Roy, I now have a trailer on which I will tow a small car, so initially I will only visit the service point when I arrive or leave the site. The small car option means that I have no serious parking issues when I go out for the such as height restrictions or having to go out early to get a decent spot to park.

Hi Al,
Good thinking.
One of the reasons we discarded the idea of having a motorhome was just that problem. If we wanted to go out for the day, everything had to be packed away, parking could be a serious problem even to the extent of car park entrances having 6'6" high bars across the entrance and all the other things. Towing a vehicle on a trailer solves all that.
Happy motorhoming!
