Patch Elm Farm – CL
Wotton Road
Rangeworthy
BS37 7LS
CL Owner: Mr Jeremy and Mrs Ann Dale
Date visited – June 2019
Unit - Car/Caravan/Awning/EHU
Price per night - £12.00 incl
Earliest arrival – 12.00
Open: 01 April 2019 to 31st October 2019
This site is set in 3 acres. Looking out to grazing horses. All grass pitches separated by high edging making it private. EHU points are located between pitches, there are 6 pitches which are very large able to take 2 cars, caravan with awning with ease. Some noise can be heard from the main road, but did not bother us, there is a dog walk at the side of the site.
Access to the site is very tight, if you turn left into the site gate, the signage is not very clear due to vegetation, as it is mounted on the gate post where you need to turn into, so advice is to approach slowly, there is just enough room to get off the road with a 7 Meter caravan, but watch out for the lump getting off the road. Then the trees also could cause a problem if you have an high motor home, The water tap is located on the side of the stable wall as you enter the site along with the chemical empty point and recycling point. Grass is cut, but not collected, so be prepared to get plenty of grass into your awning or caravan/motor home, and when walking to get water. Grey water is discharged into the hedge, so take plenty of waste water pipe with you.
Turn left out of the site towards Iron Acton and there is a garden centre just before the island on your right, which provides a good breakfast and food at reasonable prices, from 09.30.
Caravan accessories can be bought from Kingswood Caravan and Camping Centre at reasonable prices.
4G EE was not very good here TV reception was fair.
