Mandalay Fenwick Common Lane, Fenwick, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, DN6 0FB Pitch fee for 2017: £12 per night. No deposit taken at the time of booking Owner is: John & Betty We stayed here on in June 2017 for 5 nights, so we could return the van for warranty work at the dealer. The site is approx 0.5 acres according to the Club details but feels bigger, has 10 amp EHU and grey water waste is piped to the hedges by plastic pipes available around the site by the owner, with hard standings and grass options, there is a rally field at the back of the CL which is entered and exited via the CL gates, separate water is provided to the rally field, but they use the CL Chemical toilet empty. Green Toilet fluid is requested by the owners as blue will result in damage to their cess pit. There were 2/3 seasonal vans on site but not directly on the CL. The site is covered by high security, with cameras located on flag poles and a 360 camera on one of the hedge sides. Very slight train noise can be heard but not too intrusive. Also during our stay building machinery was heard during the day to new builds next to the site owners property, but this should be only for a short time due to progress of the build. Just an 8 minute walk (0.59 miles) turning left out of the site gates and following the road to the left the pub (The Baxters Arms) which is one of the “olde worlde” types serving good homemade food and a good selection of ales. Entrance, Recycling and one of the hard standings Site from water tap showing rally field through the edge Chemical empty facilities

Thanks for the review Paul. At first I thought £20/night is a bit steep, but from your description and photos it looks an excellent site and good value. Mike Hi Mike, We thought that too, especially has he had just increased his fees from £15 to £20 this year, but when we got there the work the owner had done was worth it. The only thing I think is missing is a motor-home empty point, then it would be complete. Even when it was wet and windy the site looked clean and tidy. We, or should I say I, was spoilt having the toilet empty point right next to the caravan toilet door. Paul

The Beeches Caravan CL- Members Only (Adults Only) Riverside Cottage Halmore Lane Cam Nr Dursley GL11 5DW Pitch fee for 2017: £15.00 per night. £15.00 deposit was taken at the time of booking Owner is: Mr/s Fatek thebeechescaravancl@outlook.com www.thebeechescaravanpark.co.ukWe stayed here on in June 2017 for 3 nights. The site has reasonable access down a lane dedicated to a few properties it is close to the train station (cross country) about 10 mins walk, but the noise did not bother us, to get to the CL site you go through 2 main gates into the first field (usually locked by padlock, key is given on arrival) you then continue to the next gate which gives access to the CL field, these gates are closed at all times so security is very good. The CL has several EHU points but only 5 pitches are available, the field is large but all pitches are adjacent to the fence recycling fresh and grey water is close to the owner’s property with the chemical toilet point central. The owners opened this site in 2017 after considerable tree clearance and re-planting which is on-going, Martin & Mandy are very welcoming and have a vast amount of local knowledge it was a pity we were only here for 3 nights. For those who like garden centres within a 10 mins drive, there is Highfield Garden World, Bristol Road, Whitminster a large garden centre with a large restaurant, no more than 3 mins drive further along the road there is a very good camping, caravan and ski centre called Attwoolls, selling accessories this also has a small cafe. Polgarth Farm Caravan CL Trevellas St Agnes TR5 0XX Pitch fee for 2017: £13.00 + (£0.50 for awning) per night. £10.00 deposit was taken at the time of booking Owner is: Mr/s Parris polgarthfarm@btconnect.com We stayed here on in June 2017 for 14 nights. The site has good access the CL has a main site which has 7 well spaced pitches and a paddock which has 3 pitches these are not very big and in my opinion should only be for 2 pitches to cover fire and safety club rules, during our stay all 7 pitches were occupied even though all the site signs stated 5 members only, (maybe the other 2 were not members) all pitches had EHU points and own mains water tap, we were here with friends and wanted to be next to each other, so we were allocated the paddock, unfortunately the actual pitch we were allocated was more soil than grass so our ground sheet stayed in place the whole 14 nights and washed before we left, the main CL was quite open and during our stay was very windy so we were pleased we were in the paddock as this was protected by the trees and fencing but were limited to a view of our car and our friends car. Recycling and general waste bin and chemical toilet empty point were at the far end of the main CL under trees. The site was generally quite during the day but once the owners grandchildren arrived back from school and weekends it was very noisy, with them using the main entrance road into site as a bike track skidding the rear wheel just outside the entrance to the paddock we were very surprised the owners allowed this it was only by the grace of God none of the children were injured. We chose this site for the close by coastal walks that Cornwall have to offer we enjoyed walking at, St Agnes head, Holywell, Crantock, Portreath, Chapel Porth and Perranporth, all with stunning views. This site is close to a light aircraft airport so some aircraft noise is inevitable but was not too intrusive. A handy camping accessories shop (Aztec) is just 5 mins walk from this site with a well stocked shop from a fuse to awnings. Moor View Caravan Club CL -Members only (Adults Only) Exmouth Road Aylesbeare Exeter EX5 2JS Pitch fee for 2017: £20 per night. No deposit taken at the time of booking Owner is: Mr Slade Slade197@btinternet.com We stayed here on in June 2017 for 8 nights. The site is adults only; it has easy access and has 5 very large hard standing pitches. Each pitch has EHU, mains fresh water pipe, grey water drainage, recycling and general waste bin and finally chemical toilet empty point. On site behind pitch 5 (the one we had) is a pond with abundant fish and ducks. The owner has a selection of ducks and hens which do like to roam during the day. The site is very quiet, clean and well maintained by the friendly and knowledgeable owner, nothing is too much trouble, the site also has wooden chalets for rental at the entrance to the site. National Trust properties are close by one which we really liked as it is totally unique was the A La Ronde. A very good farm shop called Greendale Farm Shop on Sidmouth Road, Nr Farringdon, is worth a visit which sells good food also has a cafe which serves fish and chips amongst other foods until late. Click on images to enlarge then click the back button top left of your browser to return to post View of site from pitch 5 View of pitch facilities A La Ronde NT

Mike Great review with lovely pictures. The site has changed a lot since we were there in the early 80's. We will have to seriously consider going back again. Les We would go there again, but not on a Bank Holiday, it was Chocka. Trooper Nice clean site but as you say busy . It's too heavily populated for us, maybe because we usually stay on CL's

well here we go again off on yet another trip to Norfolk packed the caravan today and got on the steps to clean the roof and titivate her a little bit ready for her trip seems years since the last trip but it was only a month ago happy days all and don't for get to check on your baby more often Hope you have a good trip and enjoy. We are off to Chatsworth CC on Monday for 5 nights did not realise we actually booked it in September last year to make sure we could get in, so we have had the van at home getting it ready, last time we used it was in Jan 17 as my dad was taken to Glenfield Hospital for open heart surgery having suffered a massive heart attack, the van was absolutely filthy with thick black marks down the sides, as it had not been cleaned since our Christmas trip out, it does look a different van sat on the drive now though.

Is it the N3100 range? do you get any fault codes?
You mentioned you replaced the fuse was that 240v or 12v? If 240v then can I suggest (this was what I was told initially from Thetford when I contacted them) remove the 12v fuse leave for 1 min and replace this resets the electronics apparently.
I had to have a replacement control board fitted just 9 months old but mine was a failure of gas code 3 even though gas was OK, worked intermittently.

Leicester Hill Wood Caravan Club CL Adults Only Ulverscroft Lane Newtown Linford Leicester LE6 0AJ We stayed here to help with visiting my dad whilst he was in hospital having major heart surgery. This site is very quite and has abundance of wildlife we enjoyed Woodpeckers, Wrens, Jay's, Goldcrest's, Long Tailed Tit's to mention a few. This site is open all year (at the time of review) has 3 hard standings situated within a wooded surround. The grass pitches have two concrete slabs to ensure a level pitch side ways. TV reception is not good due to the surrounding trees, so take plenty of DVD's or simply enjoy the wildlife around you. The washing up area with toilet and Chemical waste point is well away from the pitches it is lit at night but if you want to use the facilities in the night you will need a good torch and wellies as it has no made up path. The owners of this site are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble, they have security cameras at the gate so the site is secure. The only negative point we had was the hard standings are made up of a gritty substance and is brought in to the van each and every time so covers were needed at the entrance door, we accept at the time of year the pitches would be wet and as we were in a wood there would be leaves, that composted down making the ground slippery and muddy. Water points were well spaced and so were electric hook up points giving this site very spacious. View of grass Pitch Our Pitch Wash up area

hello, this has probably been discussed already but I will ask ,my van has alde heating programed with 3020 set up I find this heating system is very heavy on g .as, or is it me not using the system properly ?? . Hi gymjim you can expect to empty a 6KG bottle over a long weekend if you use gas only. Extract from Alde How much gas should the heating system consume? The two-stage burner in the Alde Compact boilers can consume up to 405 g/h (propane) or 460 g/h (butane) on full power. The two-stage burner is intelligently controlled, however. The boiler will use 230 V mains in preference to LPG, for example, and will only fire on one stage of the gas burner to maintain fluid temperature. Generally, when running on gas in the British climate, a 6 kg bottle of propane should last all weekend. The exact amount of gas consumed will vary from one day to the next, from one vehicle to the next. The heating system design is only one of three major factors, the others being insulation and ambient temperate.
