Date visited – September 2021 Unit - Car/Caravan/Awning/EHU Price per night - £15.00 incl Earliest arrival - after 12.00 (Members Only) Open: 1st March – 31st October This site is well off the road and quite it has 4 grass and 2 hard standing pitches with no toilet block. We were greeted by the owner who provided us with a visitor’s pack of places to visit. The site is relatively flat, grey waste water can be piped into the hedge. The main site gate, Waste bins and Chemical toilet point were all equipped with hand sanitizer, but noticed it was only used by us. The Hard standing pitches are under trees but during the day when the sun comes out pitches 1 to 3 get the sun most of the day. The farm runs a poultry business, so you will hear noise from Cockerels and Hens. Drinking water is situated on the wall between the stables; waste bins are located near to the main site gate, while the Chemical toilet point is located outside near to the house. There are plenty of walks directly from the site; maps are available from the owner if requested. Nearest pub is The Swan Inn at Wybunbury, serving good food and drinks, there is also a nice walk going through the church grounds opposite the pub. When we visited there were only us and another van on site. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads at all times while on site. Great walks along the canal towpaths. We would certainly be returning to this site. Stoney Leach Nurseries CC CL (Adults Only) 40 Toogood Lane Wrightington Chorley WN6 9PL Date visited – September 2021 Unit - Car/Caravan/Awning/EHU Price per night - £14.00 incl Earliest arrival - after 12.00 (Members Only) Open: All Year This site is quite, not far from the M6 (about 10 mins, a hum can be heard at night but certainly not intrusive). It has 5 hard standing pitches each with a generous amount of grass to sit out the pitches are also segregated by well established hedging, pitches 3, 4 and 5 have a very nice outlook to the grassed area planted with bushes and trees which adds to an open feeling, farm land backs onto the site, this site does not have a toilet block, grey water can be piped into the side hedging or into the hedging behind if you have sufficient length of piping, otherwise there is a grey water empty point at the side of the re-cycling bins. There is 1 drinking water tap the other side of the bins. The chemical toilet empty point is next to the entrance gate opposite pitch No1. There is a small car park outside the site that can be used by visitors as the site is too small to take more than one car per pitch. When arriving you will need to call the owner using the telephone number on a sign at the gate, he will then come to you and let you onto site and give you a key to enable you to enter and exit the site, the gate must be locked at all times and campers are asked not to let new arrivals in by unlocking the gate, when leaving just call the owner again and he will pop over and take the key off you. There are plenty of walks directly from the site; maps are available from the owner if requested. Hand sanitiser was available at the entrance gate and the drinking water tap, but I noticed not many campers used it. I need to be very careful due to health issues, so I and my wife always wipe down taps and pipes, gate handles etc, even before Covid, I am so surprised at the lack of consideration for others, especially as we are not yet clear or indeed the rate of infections have not subsided yet. That people are so blasé. There is a farm shop just down the road a little expensive but had quality food. The steak pies (frozen) were very nice, coming in small, medium and large sizes. The site as it suggests is on a nursery which specialises in Alpine, heather, cottage garden plants along with summer bedding plants and lavender. Southport is not far away as is NT at Formby, place to see red squirrels (we never saw any during our visit) nice walk along the sandy beach back to the car park. Marshside RSPB is not far from Southport, parking near to the estuary with 2 walks one taking about 1.5hrs the other 2hrs at an amble, no toilets available. Parbold is not too far away where you can walk along the canal, there is a cafe in Parbold that does a really nice “All day” breakfast reasonably priced. Another place to visit is Rufford Old Hall NT with a circular walk from the hall along the road passing the marina and then back along the canal to the hall the leaflet says 1 hr but it can be done in 30mins without breaking a sweat. Golden Days garden centre is close by (just off the M6 island) it is quite a large place, has a nice cafe too. We would certainly be returning to this site. Skybarn Farm CC CL (Adults Only) Sky lane Haddington Lincoln LN5 9FL Date visited – July 2021 Unit - Car/Caravan/Awning/EHU Price per night - £17.00 incl Earliest arrival - after 12.00 Open: All Year This site is just 5 mins away from the A46, Entry to the site is through a coded gate with 24hr CCTV, all pitches are hard standing, and have their own water tap and drainage, EHU bollard with light, there is an information hut, but no toilet block. The owner; Nicola came over to welcome us once we had sited. There is a private 2.5 miles dog walk that goes around the owner’s fields, which can be extended to walk into Aubourn for a meal and drinks at the Royal Oak which serves fantastic food for a decent price. Pennalls Garden Centre is a short drive away. Whisby Nature Reserve is only 2 miles away and parking at £2.00 all day seemed reasonable. Brayford Leisure caravan sales and accessories shop not too far away. The owners have developed a Mobile Phone App for their site, which we found very useful. Free Wi-Fi is also available. We did notice there was quite a lot of road noise during the day from the A46 when the wind changed direction. And during our time through the day we could hear a lot of dog barking from a distance. We will certainly be returning here, If we can get in, due to it being popular, that is. Please click on the photo to enlarge. (Thanks) Birds Eye View

Holywell Farm CC CL (Adults Only) Pottergate Road Fulbeck Heath Sleaford NG32 3HW Date visited – July 2021 Unit - Car/Caravan/Awning/EHU Price per night - £14.00 incl Earliest arrival - after 11.00 Open: All Year This site is split into 2 levels the upper paddock had 2 “un-marked” pitches and the lower paddock had 3 “un-marked” pitches, all pitches are grass which was cut low and collected, there is no toilet block. The owner; Pete gave us a very warm welcome and said we can pitch however we wanted. We were very lucky to pitch on the lower level paddock right at the far end to the paddock entrance, which gave the best views, which included seeing Red Kites, very peaceful and sunsets, but that meant that later during our stay we were surrounded by 2 other vans that also wanted to enjoy the views and parked very close to our van, I did suggest to one as he was moving from his original pitch, he could come a bit closer but my sarcasm fell on deaf ears. The site is situated well off the road and has no light pollution, care needs to be taken driving down the short driveway the trees were overgrowing and the surface has a few small potholes. Motor Homes should have no problems siting. The owner encouraged grey water to be poured in the hedge. There is a public footpath that goes straight through the farm; as we were only here for a few days and wanted to relax we did decided to walk into Fulbeck where we stopped off at the Manor Stables cafe for coffee and bacon and sausage sandwich, fantastic food for a decent price, coffee stayed hot even sitting outside in the small courtyard. Because of selfish positioning of the 2 vans during our short stay, I do not think we will be returning. It would be better if the owner placed marked pitches to stop this from happening. Maisey Cottage CC CL (Adults Only) Gilberts End lane Hanley Castle Upton upon Severn WR8 0BX Date visited – June 2021 Unit - Car/Caravan/Awning/EHU Price per night - £15.00 incl Earliest arrival – Check with Owner Open: 31st march to 31st October This site is all grass pitches, no toilet block. Each pitch is well spaced but signs ask for campers to leave about 2 meters away from the hedge. The owner came over after we had sited, the owner encouraged grey water to be poured in the hedge. There are walks direct from the site with a footpath directly behind the site, which leads to an Olde Worlde pub. As we were only here for a few days as a stop-over, we did not visit the area, except the local fruit farm is worth a visit we walked it (approx 2 miles from site). Swallows View CC CL (Adults Only) Holywell Road Edington Glastonbury TA7 9LA Date visited – June 2021 Unit - Car/Caravan/Awning/EHU Price per night - £15.00 incl Earliest arrival - after 13.00 Open: All Year This site is all grass pitches, with Terram Grass Protector to each pitch, no toilet block. The owners Karl & Liz gave us a very warm welcome. The site is small (it states on the CC website that it is “cosy” which is indeed correct, we missed that statement when booking). Each pitch has its own water tap and the owner encouraged grey water to be poured in the hedge. We did not feel we could “relax” due to being close to each van. There are walks direct from the site including the wetlands. They have self catering property adjacent to the site. Due to the size of this site we will not return, this in no way says this site is terrible; it is just our personal opinion, as the owners have worked very hard to present the site. Forge Manor Farm CC CL Laity Moor Cambose Redruth TR16 4HS Date visited – June 2021 Unit - Car/Caravan/Awning/EHU Price per night - £15.00 incl Earliest arrival - after 11.00 Open: 1st April – 1st November This site is all grass pitches, no toilet block. The owner, Martin gave us a very warm welcome and gave us a useful pack showing local information and was constantly cutting the grass during our stay. The site is situated well off the road and has no light pollution all pitches are well spaced out for awnings site is slightly sloping but no issues to pitch, no Motor Homes came on site during our stay so can’t comment on ease of pitching and the site is a good 2 acres. Each pitch has its own water tap (installed by the owner during lockdown) and the owner encouraged grey water to be poured in the hedge. This site was our last choice due to the photo placed on the CC website, but as Covid19 restrictions were being relaxed meant our first 5 choices were fully booked so to find this site to have spaces for our friends and us for 14 nights was grateful, but wow what a site. Public footpaths ran behind the site. Aldi and Tesco was only 10 mins away and Cornwall Gold visitors centre was just down the road with a cafe and at the time we were there offered 40% reduction on all its Gold. Sadly as we left Martin’s wife came over to say he had been rushed into hospital the night before with a heart attack, but was comfortable. We will certainly be back when in that area. The owners, Carol and Martin were welcoming and gave useful local information. The site is situated behind the owners Bungalow and is directly off A358 even though it can be busy; we did not find it intrusive. Well spaced out for awnings site is slightly sloping but no issues to pitch, no Motor Homes came on site during our stay so can’t comment on ease of pitching, (but site write up on CC website states MH friendly) great views and sunsets. The owner encouraged grey water to be poured in the hedge. Seaton is not far away, we parked just off the roadside before entering Seaton and walked in had a bite to eat in a cafe in the town but cannot remember the name (sorry). We will certainly be back when in that area. Aerial view View of Site View from our Van window

The Firs CC CL (Adults Only & No Pets) Chepstow Road Sling Coleford GL16 8JE Date visited – May 2021 Unit - Car/Caravan/Awning/EHU Price per night - £18.00 incl Earliest arrival - after 12.00 (Adults Only & No Pets) Open: All year This site has 4 hard standing pitches close to the road with grass pitches close to the toilet block. We were greeted by the owner who offered us a cup of tea/coffee before we pitched. The site is flat for the hard standings but sloping on grass, a motor home was on the grass pitch at the time and they managed to level, the owner encouraged grey water to be poured under trees and bushes. The site offers cycle lock up next to the toilet block which has a combination lock. The site is directly off the B4228 and does suffer from road noise during the day which we found to be very intrusive (we are normally ok with this but not here). Facilities were equipped with hand sanitiser and wipes but not at the gate which was also used by owners of the storage site at the back of the house. We did see a deer wander into the site, but not much more. Forest of Dean Caravans are only 5 miles away and stock a reasonable amount of accessories even though they had just re-opened due to Covid 19 lockdown. Further a field is Hopewell Colliery and Cafe, the food there is amazing we were told to go for Sunday lunch (booking advisable) you will not be disappointed. If you fancy a trip underground then book in for a tour. Due to and only because of the intrusive noise experienced, we would not return to this site.
